At Erewash Museum, Tricolor was appointed to project manage the entire Round 2 NLHF submission for their Old Stables project which sought to refurbish and increase access to currently unused parts of the museum, increasing the organisation’s ability to provide its award-winning education programme as well as launching a new exhibition and creating another income stream from the volunteer-run café..
Tricolor researched, developed and delivered the project’s Activity Plan, Interpretation Plan, Business Plan and Management and Maintenance Plan for the Museum’s successful bid worth in excess of £0.5million.
In 2016, Tricolor were commissioned by the trustees of the Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company (CIC) to develop a business plan with a market appraisal and an operating partners review on the potential commercial uses for the Lido.
The market appraisal started with a market assessment, looking at the current situation in the Brighton area in order to get a better understanding of the market, its size, the potential visitor numbers and spend. The next task was to conduct an extensive competitor/comparator review. Analysis of this presented a long-list with the Lido trustees then led to the development of an options shortlist and an outline operating model to establish potential income and expenditure.
The Business Plan produced financial modelling, with a projected 10 year income and expenditure plan, risks analysis, staffing (new employment, apprenticeships and volunteering opportunities), and sensitivity analysis. Not only did this Business Plan allow for a sustainable future catalyst for economic growth in the region, it’s full fundraising strategy for the project then mentored and supported the CIC through other major funding applications.
