Over the past 23 years I have been involved with many large-scale projects such as the Play Zone at the Millennium Dome, designed exhibitions for many national museums and clients, such as ‘Elizabeth’ at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, the National Football Museum, Preston, ‘Dinobirds’ at the Natural History Museum, Henley River & Rowing Museum, and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. At World Museum Liverpool, for NML. I designed, managed and delivered on site, £7.5m worth of exhibitions, café, theatre space, shop, and front of house visitor facilities, the largest HLF funded museum project outside of the capital at that time.
Other projects have included: a new introduction gallery at the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight; new welcome & orientation areas at Newcastle Discovery Museum for TWAM; providing design support to the fit-out team at The Hepworth Wakefield; concept and detail design for the complete refurbishment of the Tank Museum, Bovington, Dorset.
I have completed many temporary and permanent exhibitions for Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, at Tullie House, Carlisle, about the painter, George Howard, Port Sunlight Museum where I completed the refurbishment of the visitor welcome, reception, shop, museum spaces, undertook their brand, marketing and educational materials and four temporary exhibitions.
Additionally, i have completed the refurbishment of the interpretation at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet in Sheffield, two exhibitions at Wakefield Museum, a brewing gallery at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield, and design and two fit-outs at Rochdale Pioneers Museum. HLF project works have included Colne Valley Museum, Cambridge Museum of Technology., the Lanchester Discovery Centre at Coventry University, and ‘Sheffield 1916’, two permanent WW1 exhibitions at Kelham Island Museum.
Completed last year, at the grade 1 listed Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens, a four-year HLF supported project presents the life of the former servants at the Hall, alongside a new display for HMRC at the Treasury in London.
I have also completed projects for commercial clients such as visitor centres for Opel in Frankfurt, Germany, ABB and PanelCo, designed a 50 store rollout of M&S Bank interiors, and more recently two exhibitions for Unilever on the Wirral.
