Brian is a strategy, evaluation and research specialist with a background in architecture, urban economics, public policy and the humanitarian/non-profit sector.

Brian’s eclectic background includes working as a Theatre Consultant on the design of the Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center in New York, the refurbishment of St. Georges Hall, Bradford, as well as leading research studies for local NGOs in India and Uganda.

Brian has also acted as a Principal of Cognoscere Consulting, a pro-bono management consultancy that provides strategic advice to charities and nonprofits, including Save the Children and Action for Hearing Loss. 

Brian has a deep interest in creative thinking, understanding patterns and problem-solving, all with the goal of creating new knowledge and developing new innovations for organisations and their audiences. He is adept at: strategy, policy, programme analysis; impact assessments; process and performance evaluations; primary data collection (quantitative/qualitative); feasibility studies; market analysis, and KPI development.

Brian has undertaken research, consultation and strategy development for Tricolor clients including the Museum of Brands and the Heritage Education Trust / The Sandford Award.
